The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is the central point of coordination and administration of research and sponsored programs. We offer a wide array of services to the SBU research community, including: assisting in proposal development, reviewing and endorsing proposals, negotiation agreements, accepting and authorizing awards, interpreting sponsor rules and guidelines, and providing post-award research administration services. OSP is also the University’s authorized representative for grants, contracts, and other agreements from external sponsors.

The goal of OSP is to deliver high quality services in an efficient and professional manner in compliance with sponsor rules and regulations and to promote and facilitate the research, education, and outreach missing of Stony Brook University.
