Biography
Xiao Ping Ha has degrees from Fu Dan University, Shanghai, in Journalism, as well as Masters in Teaching Chinese as a second language from Middlebury College, Vermont. She was also the first graduate of SUNY Stony Brook’s Asian American Studies Department. Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, her expertise is in the blending of teaching Chinese at different experience levels with using her rich Journalism background to introduce students to the cultural idiosyncrasies of the Chinese people. Xiao Ping Ha has also been a director of SBU study abroad in Shanghai summer program for more than 10 years.
