Hands-on science to sustain Madagascar's resources and people

Pandemics, Primates & Planetary Health

This one-hour discussion focuses on the state of conservation, zoonotic disease, and human health. Drs. Tom Gillespie, Christopher Golden and Cortni Borgerson share their work on the forefront of the human-wildlife interface in the tropics, and their perspectives on how the health of ecosystems and humanity are intimately intertwined. This seminar draws on the principles of the One Health framework, a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach that spans research and initiatives at the local, regional, national, and global levels, and aims to achieve the best possible health outcomes given the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
