Represented by Police Benevolent Association of New York State, Inc., titles in the Agency Police Services Unit include university police officers and investigators, environmental conservation officers and investigators, park patrol officers, and forest rangers.

All appointments must be approved by the Department of Civil Service and Department of Audit and Control. Appointments are subject to the New York State Public Officer’s Law and can be reviewed here.
