Celebrate SoMAS' 50th Anniversary on October 13

The School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) celebrates its 50th Anniversary on Friday, October 13, with an Environmental Media Conference, The Risk of Saying Nothing.

Hear from several Stony Brook speakers, including Malcolm Bowman, Howard Schneider, Christine O’Connell, David Taylor, Minghua Zhang, Heidi Hutner — and welcome back former Dean and Director and University Provost Jerry Schubel — as they discuss how to speak out boldly, creatively and effectively regarding the state of our environment and its sustainability.
