The program provides an option for students interested in careers that build on foundational knowledge in the life sciences, but who also have strong interests in areas such as the fine arts, humanities, or social sciences.

Students are required to complete a CAS minor in a field outside of biology as part of their Biology BA program. There are over
40 approved CAS minors for Biology BA majors to select from. The BA program requires fewer lab courses, however both the Biology BA & BS prepare students for professional careers in the health sciences.
