Our Free Food Dashboard was launched as part of out Food Waste Reduction Initiative, in an effort to reduce
food waste on campus and provide additional resources to our students. At the end of these events, any remaining food will be available for you to take.
We welcome you to stop by the events posted to this dashboard.
Disposable food containers are available at the Seawolves Pantry for guests to take
as needed.
Please note the following:
Free food can mean a multitude of things to different event hosts: from chips and
cookies to fully catered meals.
An event appearing on this dashboard does not guarantee that food will be leftover
at the end, as goods are limited depending on guest count. You are more likely to
get the full benefit of the goods offered if you attended the event itself.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Formerly known as food stamps, SNAP is a program that helps low-income working people,
senior citizens, and others put healthy, nutritious food on the table and feed their
families. SNAP monthly benefits can be used to purchase food at authorized retail
food stores. Eligibility and benefit levels are based on household size, income and
other factors. Additional requirements may be in place for certain groups of people,
such as college students.
The Seawolves Pantry has partnered with Island Harvest to assist community members
to help determine their eligibility for SNAP and other support services and programs.
Interested in learning more about SNAP? To determine your eligibility for the program and other services, please complete our SNAP Referral Form.
The Student Support Team coordinates efforts to assist students in need. If a student is not sure how or where
