2018 Cultural Competency Seminar: Implicit Bias

In response to requests from students, staff and faculty, the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer organized a campus-wide cultural competency seminar which will focused on implicit bias and issues and processes related to harassment and sexual misconduct.  This seminar was held on October 9, 2018 at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena and attended by thousands of Stony Brook Faculty and Staff. The Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity was proud to participate in this event, providing information on Stony Brook University policy that confronts these issues and reporting options for employee that allege these policies have been violated.   We hope that if you were unable to attend you will take the time to review this important information.
