Asian and Asian American Studies B.A.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able to recognize key aspects of particular Asian cultures and societies.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able to raise questions, create hypotheses and design a research method to analyze issues of global concern facing Asia and the United States.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able to develop a formal proposal for an original research project in the field of Asian and Asian American Studies.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able to utilize pertinent evidence in a manner both organizationally effective and rhetorically persuasive in oral formats.

5. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able critically evaluate research design, data collection, analytical techniques, and interpretive frameworks in humanities and social sciences.

6. Upon completion of the degree, students will be able to explain the histories, struggles, and contributions of Asian Americans.
