LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to identify typical vs. atypical second language acquisition skills and utilize this information to inform instruction.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to effectively deliver lessons/sessions free of cultural or linguistic bias and plan appropriately for varying levels of language proficiency in one classroom/session.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to demonstrate understanding of first language influence on second language acquisition and use this knowledge to effectively craft lesson/session plans.
