LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to explain how chemical reactions are catalyzed and regulated in living systems.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to explain how biological information is stored and transmitted by nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and small molecules.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to explain how organelles function and interact with each other to facilitate the basic function of eukaryotic cells.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to explain how cells interact with each other to facilitate the basic function of multicellular organisms.

5. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to explain how improper regulation of biochemical processes can lead to human diseases and how molecular techniques can be used to solve biological and biomedical problems.
