Mathematics B.S.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to calculate,  interpret and apply derivatives of functions to various mathematical and applied problems.

2.Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to work freely with a  concept of integration and its applications to geometry, physics and probability theory. Also, students should be able  to process series, power series and presentation of functions via Taylor series.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to provide  theoretical justifications of basic concepts of differentiation, integration and convergence in metric  spaces.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to demonstrate basic  knowledge in group and ring theory, homomorphisms, and quotient structures.

5. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to operate fluently with  basic concepts of finite-dimensional vector spaces and linear maps, as well as inner-product spaces and operators in them.
