Medical Humanities Compassionate Care and Bioethics M.A.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Through engagement in the medical humanities, graduates will have an enhanced capacity to understand and respond to the patient as a person.

2. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to understand the human capacity for compassion that underlies the moral life and effective clinical care.

3. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the paradigm cases and approaches to topics in bioethics.

4. Upon completion of the degree, students should be able to understand the philosophical and religious traditions that inform contemporary debates.
