Comprehensive Program Fees
Your program fee covers all essential components of the Pre-College Summer experience:
- Expert-led courses and workshops
- All required learning materials
- Transportation for courses that have field trips
- Social and recreational activities (residential option)
- Housing accommodations (residential option)
- Meal plan:
- Residential option: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Commuter option: Breakfast and lunch
2025 Pricing Options
Residential Program:
- One session: $2,250
- Two sessions (including the Computational Linguistics two-week session): $3,950
- Three sessions: $4,850
NEW! Commuter Program:
- One session: $1,250
- Two sessions: $2,100
- Three sessions: $3,000
Application Fee:
$45 (non-refundable)
Payment Schedule
- A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due two weeks after acceptance.
- The remaining balance is due by May 30, 2025.
Financial Assistance
Pre-College Summer
If you qualify for free or reduced lunches you will receive a $250 discount applied toward the program fee.
ACE
If you are an Accelerated College Education student at Stony Brook, you will receive a $150 discount.
Discounts are stackable.

Cancellations
We understand that circumstances can change. If you've enrolled in a course and are no longer able to attend, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund. See the table to the right for details.
*Please note that all refunds will exlude the non-refundable deposit and reflect any discounts received (early action, ACE, free and reduced lunch)

Scholarship Opportunity for Future Seawolves!
If you attend the SBU Pre-College Summer Program and subsequently apply, get accepted, and enroll at Stony Brook University, you will be eligible for one of two scholarships:
- New York State residents will receive a $1,000 scholarship over 4 years ($250 per year)
- Out-of-state residents will receive a $2,000 scholarship over 4 years ($500 per year)
