Nistha Boghra is a senior Journalism and Biology major at Stony Brook, currently enrolled in the eight-year BA/MD Program in the Renaissance School of Medicine.

Boghra has been involved with Stony Brook University's Undergraduate Student Government since freshman year. As senator freshman year, she pushed to increase accessibility of Student Health Services with the implementation of TimelyCare and a self-scheduler, promoting diversity by helping to create the first ever CultureFest, and creating the USG Menstrual Hygiene Program which installed menstrual product dispensers across campus.

As Vice President of Communications in sophomore year, she primarily focused on working to make USG more transparent in its decisions and work, increasing USG presence through campus, and highlighting and empowering campus clubs and events through club highlights.

Last year, as Executive Vice President, she led the 25 USG Senators in pursuing initiatives and legislation improvements, including new Judicial Board Bylaws and Financial Bylaws, and pushed to improve connectivity of the Senate with students. She also organized the third Annual Mental Health Gala to strengthen the Seawolves Mental Health Fund, and grew the Menstrual Hygiene product dispensers to four new locations.

Outside of academics and student government, Nistha is co-captain of SBU Raaswalas, a Gujarati cultural dance team on campus, a member of the Student Health Advisory Council, and conducts Neurology research at Stony Brook Medicine.
