HEA Course Schedule

 

Schedule Formats

The term dates published below are general. Refer to the  SPD Academic Calendar for specific start and end date information.


Face-to-Face

Fall Term: 14 weeks starting in late August and ending in mid-December.

Spring Term: 14 weeks starting in late January and ending in mid-May.

Summer Session II: 6 weeks  starting in early July, as part of the HEA Summer Institute. Courses follow a hybrid format, requiring one full week of in-person meetings from 9 to 5 and 5 weeks of additional online instruction. This format is available in select summers only and is subject to change. Consult the course description for scheduling details.

 

 


Online

Fall Term (asynchronous) 10 weeks starting in late August and ending in early November.

Fall Term (synchronous): 14 weeks starting in late August and ending in mid-December.

Winter Session (asynchronous):  3 weeks starting right after the new year.

Spring term (asynchronous): 10 weeks starting in late January and ending in early April.

Summer Session (asynchronous): 10 weeks  starting in late May and ending in early August.

Summer Session II (hybrid): 6 weeks starting in early July. HEA Summer Institute courses may combine synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Consult the course description for scheduling details.
