Classes that are not available for auditing include:
- online/virtual/remote courses

- courses offered through the Health Sciences Center
- courses offered in self-supporting non-credit programs sponsored by the School of Professional Development, Crafts Center, Museum of Long Island Natural Sciences, and Division of Physical Education and Athletics, among others
Registration Information
- There is a $50.00 registration fee per course without credit, formal recognition, or the meeting of any of the course requirements. The maximum number of courses an auditor can register for is 3.
- You can find a listing of all SBU courses on the Registrar's Class Schedule page.
- The "Add/Drop" period typically ends after the 10th day of classes as stated on the Registrar's Academic Calendar for each term. Auditors who are approved to take classes will begin the course on the third week of the semester. View the Academic Calendar
- After selections have been reviewed and approved, SPD will then update your records in the University systems. Until your records are updated by SPD, you will not have access to the course.
