Seawolves Village
Seawolves Village exemplifies a forward-thinking approach and dedication to enhancing campus life. The village will feature state-of-the-art prefabricated housing units and will provide housing for 500 students, meeting their housing needs with high quality, modern accommodations that adhere to current energy efficiency standards.
Set to open near the end of Fall 2025 semester, Seawolves Village will be located near the H Community, ensuring that residents remain connected to the vibrant Stony Brook University campus. Once open, we anticipate making housing offers to students if they are impacted by a radius policy and then those on the Undergraduate On-Campus Housing Waitlist.
The two-story buildings will be equipped with everything students need to thrive. Five buildings will be fully residential, while two will feature a mix of residential spaces and essential amenities on the lower levels, making it easy for students to access everything they need within the community. Each residential floor will house 41 students, creating a close-knit living environment that encourages community-building.
The amenities reflect our commitment to providing students with spaces that foster learning, collaboration, and a sense of belonging:
- Climate-controlled housing for year-round comfort.
- Computer labs for academic work and collaboration.
- Two student lounges, designed for relaxation, socializing, or studying.
- A community kitchen featuring a countertop, stove, microwave, sink, tables, and chairs.
- Laundry facilities conveniently located on-site.
- Fitness room equipped with exercise bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills.
- Supportive services offices for RAs and RHDs, providing a place for students to seek assistance or guidance.
- Area Office offering administrative support and resources.
- Outdoor courtyard, including community greenspace, tables, chairs, and benches.
Room options will include:
- A room for the Resident Assistant.
- Double occupancy rooms.
- All rooms will be equipped with furniture similar to other residence halls.
