Programs and Services
Explore the various programs designed to enhance your academic journey and overall
university experience. Our Transition Program is a week-long residential initiative
for students with disabilities transitioning from high school to their first year
at Stony Brook. Immerse yourself on campus, engage in workshops, and build lasting
connections with SASC staff and Student ACE Mentors. Speaking of ACE Mentors, if you're
a new SASC Seawolf, sign up for our Academic Community Engagement Mentoring Program.
Connect with an upperclassman mentor who will guide you through your first year, fostering
autonomy and a successful transition.
Additionally, discover our Sensory Space, a haven in the SASC office offering all
Stony Brook students a range of sensory tools. This space, from fidget toys to sensory
seating, is created to help manage sensory inputs and promote well-being. Whether
you're a SASC affiliate or part of the broader Stony Brook community, we invite you
to explore the resources available to support your journey at Stony Brook University.
