The Center for Prevention and Outreach provides students and the campus community with prevention, early intervention, education and outreach services around the public health concerns impacting college students, including but not limited to, substance abuse, mental health and sexual and interpersonal violence.

The Survivor Advocate & Prevention Specialist provides confidential support to Stony Brook students who experience any kind of sexual or relationship violence, including domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.

Students in other academic programs should consult with their department to identify the appropriate advisors who can assist them with their course selection and academic requirements.
Students who need to take leave from the university or withdrawal from the university should consult with the Registrar. If you are registered with SASC and need to take a disability-related leave, you can schedule an appointment to meet with your SASC counselor to discuss the request. The final request will need to be submitted and processed by the Registrar.
The Career Center assists students with locating a job on campus, career coaching, resume review, and other employment related preparation.
The Career Center also provides services for alumni looking for career support.
