ABOUT PSRI
Stony Brook’s PostSocialism Research Institute (PSRI) promotes interdisciplinary transnational research that investigates the multifaceted aspects of culture, language, politics, art, and history in the space of the former Soviet Union and its satellites and successor states, the former Yugoslavia and successor states, and other countries and regions that have recently undergone significant political change away from the socialist and communist ideologies that characterized the “other side” during the Cold War.
